Expressions of Interest - Australian Delegate

WSA is looking for up to 5 volunteers to help out with being the National Delegate for the Australian team at the 2009 World Waveski Titles in Coffs Harbour. This position is open to competitors and non-competitors and is shared amongst the 5 throughout the event, ie the days are split up amongst the 5 and shared if other circumstances arise. This is a key role to ensure smooth running of the week for all competitors involved and will assist with ensuring a successful Australian team result at the end of the week. Outline of Responsibilities

Reports to WSA Inc and Contest Committee during the World Titles event .
The appointee/s will act as co-ordinator for Australian team competitors and assist in conducting team briefings when required.
As the National Team delegate, they will need to attend event briefings conducted by the event administrators and the World Waveski Association and liase with the Australian competitors
The team manager will also be required to act as advocate for Australian Team competitors in the submittal of protests and resolution of disputes.
Knowledge of the World Waveski Association Contest Rules and their practical application in contest conditions is required.
Previous attendance at a World Titles event is required.
